More time making waves. Less time searching for answers. Here’s how to get ready for your Jacksonville jet ski ride.

Do I need a reservation? Are jet ski tours guided?

Yes—book at least one hour ahead. The 1-hour experience is semi-guided: ride within our designated Ortega River area with team supervision. On the 2-hour sightseeing tour, follow your guide through downtown Jacksonville. CraigCats, pontoons, kayaks, and paddleboards offer self-guided outings within our rental boundaries.

What do I need before my jet ski tour?

Complete your required boating certificate before arrival if you were born on or after January 1, 1988. All jet ski drivers and passengers must watch the safety video.

How old do riders need to be?

Jet ski renters must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license. Drivers ages 14–17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian age 21+. Passengers must be 10+. Kayak and paddleboard participants must be able to swim without assistance.

What should I bring?

Bring your government-issued ID, required boating certificate, sunscreen, and a towel. Life jackets and operating instructions are included. Wetsuit bottoms are recommended for jet skis and are available to use. Secure valuables before you ride.

What about weather, changes, and cancellations?

Refunds and rescheduling depend on your notice period and whether you purchased trip protection. Cancellations must be emailed to info@jaxjetskirental.com.

Can I return to the dock during my ride?

Ask your guide first. Returning to the dock is at the guide’s discretion, and the guide will lead you back.

Where can I find all rental details and policies?

Read the rental policies and trip documents before booking. Our team can help with weather, damage waivers, changes and preparation.
